Haylee Vu is 17 years old from Carnesville, Georgia, and a freshman at the University of Georgia, where she is pursuing a degree in Journalism with a concentration in Broadcasting. With aspirations of becoming a TV news reporter or a sideline reporter for ESPN, Haylee is driven by a passion for storytelling and connecting with diverse audiences through media. Haylee’s personal life has profoundly shaped her sense of purpose. Her older brother lives with a rare condition known as facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), which has fueled her deep commitment to advocacy and raising awareness for individuals living with neuromuscular disorders. As Miss Teen North America 2025, Haylee intends to use her platform to illuminate the challenges faced by those with disabilities while also celebrating their resilience, joy, and contributions. During her time in Athens, Georgia, Haylee plans to engage with her community by getting involved in a local church and participating in service initiatives. Beyond pageantry and academics, she enjoys reading, staying active, and indulging her love of shopping. Haylee hopes to be a voice of encouragement to others and a beacon of positivity, using her talents to uplift and inspire.
